Bowman's is a pristine beach on Sanibel Island (FL). A walk north from the beach entrance soon takes you to an almost impassable section where trees have toppled into the Gulf and sea grapes often grow wildly over a sharp dropoff in the sand. Sea Grapes are native here, but a lot of people don't want them in their yards because the leaves yellow in late winter and fall to the ground. I think their yellowing jazzes up the landscape a lot by adding beautiful and bold color to a setting that without them might be just TOO green.
