The swans are an institution at Fort Lauderdale's Bonnet House. Visitors always delight to see them swimming in the lagoon out front. I found them especially appealing one bright, sunny winter's day — the sun glinting brilliantly off the water, and off even the lilies, and the swans' long, graceful necks casting purple shadows down their sides.
