Gateways usually make for interesting photographs and paintings. I think this one at Fort Lauderdale's historic Bonnet House is no exception, especially with the many varieties of bougainvillea, that multicolored and most beautiful of tropical bloomers, that help to decorate it. My painter's eye could not resist the clamor of the bright colored flowers against the pale ochre of the gate posts, the lush green of the trees and shrubs, and the sundappled walking path.
