At Fort Lauderdale's historic Bonnet House, mistress of the house Evelyn Bartlett raised more than a thousand orchids. Hundreds of them continue to delight visitors today nearly a decade after her death. These brightly colored flowers were hanging on display in the orchid shed on a sunny day in February. The painting has been entered in an exhibit of orchid art by the Bonnet House Fine Artists Guild in April 2005.
