There's little about the caretaker's cottage at Fort Lauderdale's Bonnet House that is anywhere near as enchanting as the main estate — except when the old trees cast dramatic late–afternoon shadows across its back. The structure's southwestern–style fireplace stack adds a touch of interest to an otherwise architecturally plain exterior.
