There's a beautiful old Sea Captain's house in Eastham, MA – on Cape Cod — that once belonged to a Captain Penniman. A short walk up the hill and toward the water and you see this sweeping vista out toward the Atlantic's Great Beach that wraps along the backside of the Cape Cod arm. It was a bright early autumn day when we came upon this scene, and the contrasting colors of the blue water and the fading dune grass produced an eminently paintable vista of peace and beauty.
