This substantial, historic house rises rather majestically near the tapering end of Wellfleet's tidal Duck Creek. I thought the scene especially beautiful one late September day after nature had begun painting the trees and grasses with its annual show of brilliant color. Part of this elegant old home once housed the original Wellfleet post office back in the early 1800s.
