Somehow, in all these years of painting, I have never painted Nauset Light in Eastham, one of the prettiest and most beloved lights on all of Cape Cod. So I decided to paint it as I had never seen it done - right up close and personal, gazing up from directly below, so that the light itself is somewhat distorted (looking a bit more stocky and bulky than it actually is!), and the lighthouse next to it seems almost to be shying away from it far below. I especially love the little window in the side of the light.
